General Description | Epicuren®’s enzyme protein complex, referred to as the Metadermabolic Enzyme, is the heart of the Epicuren® line. This enzyme is a protein that is combined with a waterborne solution of B Vitamins to create a “protein with intelligence”.

The Metadermabolic Enzyme encourages the skin to self-rejuvenate without incurring sun sensitivity, flaking, or irritation. Consumers utilize these unique enzymes to visibly lift, tighten, and firm the appearance of the skin, while increasing textural clarity and evening the skin tone. Using the Metadermabolic Enzyme naturally results in a more youthful and vibrant appearing complexion.

Featured Ingredients: 

Collagen Amino Acids | Similar properties to collagen, but is a more potent moisture-binding compound. Primarily made up of Proline and Hydroxyproline (amino acids necessary for collagen production), this ingredient contains nearly all “essential” amino acids and can influence the growth of fibroblasts. 

Hydrolyzed Elastin | Elastin is a protein in connective tissue that provides elasticity to cells and tissue; its hydrolization makes its use easier in skin care products as it helps with proper penetration and absorption. Its use increases elasticity of skin cells thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles. In this formulation the Elastin also works together with the Collagen Amino Acids to deliver the Vitamin B complexes into the skin and maintain the skin’s natural elasticity.

Niacin | (Vitamin B3) A multi-tasking nutrient that contributes to reversing DNA damage and rewiring the cellular makeup to create “healthy” cells. Niacin helps to increase cell turnover, and strengthen the skin barrier by boosting hydration and ceramides (skin lipids that retain moisture). 

Biotin | (Vitamin B7) Part of the B vitamin complexes, Biotin performs a variety of necessary functions including, assisting in the production of essential fatty acids and amino acids, and encouraging cell growth.   

Riboflavin | (Vitamin B2) This micro-nutrient is easily absorbed and plays a vital role in cellular energy and metabolism. 

Crocus Chrysanthus Bulb Extract | This clinically proven extract triggers the proper cellular communication needed to correct and enhance collagen and elastin production within the dermis, resulting in improved skin firmness and reduced wrinkles. 

Panthenol | (Vitamin B5) A non-comedogenic, penetrating moisturizer that aids in tissue repair and wound healing, stimulates cell proliferation, as well as soothes and protects skin from sun burns.

General Theory [Cell Signaling] | A revolutionary strategy in the treatment for aging skin is through a process called cell signaling. In this process, specific extracts and proteins known as growth factors are able to trigger specific communication between cells in the epidermis and dermis, causing these cells to take action. Since standard cosmetic ingredients are limited in their ability to penetrate the dermis, cell signaling allows for an increased ability to instruct the Fibroblast cells to enhance the formation of collagen and elastin, or behave in a specific manner. As a result, the skin is regenerated and repaired from the inside out.

Application | After cleansing and Skin Conditioner Enzyme Toner application, pump a few drops of Enzyme Concentrate Vitamin Protein Complex into the palm of your hands. Apply over entire face, neck, and décolleté. Initially, the Enzyme Concentrate Vitamin Protein Complex should only be used once or twice per week, morning or night. Gradually increase the frequency of the application to 4-7 times per week. Follow with Gel Plus Enzyme Protein Gel, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

Companion Products | The Skin Conditioner Enzyme Toner, Enzyme Concentrate Vitamin Protein Complex, and Gel Plus Enzyme Protein Gel work synergistically together to help prevent and counteract the visible signs of aging.
